Hi there, we’d love to meet with an arborist, but wondering what the $50 gets us? We can make free appointments with arborists in the area so just wondering how this is better? 🙂

If an arborist appointment is free, it is usually because the arborist is affiliated with, or owns a tree removal company. The arborist MCCA uses has worked with MCCA for over 30 years and is a neutral party, he is not affiliated with any tree removal company. At times, the Architectural Control Committee will ask a resident to submit an arborist’s report before the committee will consider an application for tree removal. When you ask an arborist to write a report, that service is generally not free and costs more than $50. During Arborist Day, our arborist will visit your residence with an ACC member and will give his opinion on any tree(s) on your property that you have identified, and he will identify trees that “must” be removed, and trees that “may” be removed. The ACC will then process the application without requiring a separate arborist report.
